Had an absolutely great time at CHAKO BBQ& Izakaya! The food was great — we enjoyed all the meats from lamb, beef, chicken, and calamari to salmon and even sushi. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and we cooked it to perfection. The buy three, get one free offer made it even better — we paid a substantially fair price for four individuals, which made the experience feel like a steal! Dessert was a sweet ending to the meal. The chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla ice creams were delicious, though we felt the mango pudding could have used a bit more quantity to really enjoy it fully. Overall, it was an extremely enjoyable experience — and this was actually my second visit to the restaurant! The ambiance is excellent for social gatherings — whether you’re meeting up with friends, family, having a group gathering, or even grabbing a relaxed lunch or dinner after a corporate meeting. Plus, if you’re a couple with a good appetite, you’re definitely in for a treat. Highly recommend visiting — will definitely be back again!

Had an amazing time at this Korean BBQ spot! The service was exceptional—our server took the time to explain the menu, checked in frequently, and even cleared the grill a couple of times to ensure everything cooked perfectly. She was also quick to clear extra trays, keeping the table organized. The food quality was top-notch, with fresh ingredients and great flavors. A must-try on the menu is the side rib—the meat quality was excellent, tender, and packed with flavor. Overall, a fantastic experience—highly recommend

Nice barbecue place very spacious. There was no weight when we came in. It’s a little bit pricey, but it’s OK. The food was really good, but a lot of the meat tasted the same. You can ask for a replace of the girl they won’t replace it for you. it’s allyou can eat. It’s a great place overall you come here if you could the staff are very nice and the service is very fast

Great staff. Super friendly from the minute you walk in and attentive while dining. Food and drinks comes out fast. Meat is all fresh and very tasty! Great time! Enjoy the cooking and it makes time to talk and enjoy your company instead of rushing. Really enjoyed that! CONS- Sushi was ok. It’s not their strength but could use alittle more work. Service fee ??? This one I was surprised. Not sure if all restaurants started doing this but I wanted to tip the waitress more but they add a service fee automatically to your bill my tip for my waitress had to be lower than I wanted. She mentioned the service fee splits between all staff but not sure if I’d prefer that. I’d rather give a good tip to the person who serviced me. I almost feel it takes away tips for the waitress/waiter but it is their rule. Other than that I will definitely come back. Loved it

Hello all, from the sushi to the grilled food!! It was all good for us. We were a party of 8 and we had no complaints. Everything from seating us to serving us it was very quick and efficient! We enjoyed it a lot! It’s very easy to fill up quickly if you don’t pace yourself lol. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

Honestly, I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I absolutely love this restaurant! As a regular customer, I really enjoy the all-you-can-eat option. My boyfriend and I always leave feeling incredibly full and satisfied. The sushi is definitely a favorite, and I love that we can cook everything ourselves—it adds to the experience. Of course, there are some risks that come with that, but it’s something you have to be willing to take if you want to enjoy this unique dining style. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to!

A long time classic for those based around the Scarborough/Durham region. I remember coming to this place 10 years ago, eating a big meal with my friends. For all the gym bros, the amount of protein consumed is ungodly. Our visit this time around has exceeded our standards. Chako does one thing right, and it is consistency. Whether it’s the cuts of meats, marinade, or the service, everything will be consistent throughout the years. I only get to eat at this restaurant twice a year if I’m lucky, and it is always the same amazing experience as I remember. I recommend getting their tofu. Its structural integrity isn’t phased by the sweet, salty marinade it is soaked in. Every bite you get that burst of flavor. We also tried their beef fingers, which oddly isn’t fingers, but bite size tender pieces that melt in your mouth. Their sushi is ok at best, but you don’t go there for it, you go for the all you can eat meats that are bathed in that glorious marinade.
